Professor Gordon Wishart is a consultant breast & endocrine surgeon, former director of the Cambridge Breast Unit (2005-2010), Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Visiting Professor of Cancer Surgery at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Professor Wishart has a national and international reputation in the field of breast cancer and has published widely in the field of breast surgery, endocrine surgery and breast cancer.

He was instrumental in raising £2 million pounds to build the Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit in 2008, a clinical and laboratory facility to support the clinical research programme. He is the lead or co-investigator on clinical trials that have attracted over £2 million pounds in grant funding. He recently led a team of Cambridge-based researchers to develop a computer model PREDICT that estimates survival and treatment benefits after surgery for invasive breast cancer (www.predict.nhs.uk).
